Educational & Ministry History: B.A. Atlanta Christian College; M.A. Cincinnati Christian University & Seminary. I entered ministry in 1982 and have had the privilege of serving the church in Georgia, South Carolina, Indiana and Virginia. It is an absolute joy to call Christ's Church in Martinsville home!
Fun Stuff: Enjoying my wife, hiking together as a family, hunting and fishing, and almost any outdoor activity. I also enjoy reading and studying, as well as learning about computers. Above all, I love discussing the Scriptures over a good cup of coffee with anyone who loves the Word or just has questions!
Favorites: A good steak or anything Italian! Apple computers, the Tarheels, wintry weather, watching my kids laugh, good movies, teaching, pressing into each other's lives.
Makes me laugh: Chris Rollins, Far Side cartoons, my brother Turk, and Duke Blue Devil fans.
What's on the iPod: A wide variety of musical styles from Third Day, Chris Tomlin, Michael Card, as well as classic tunes from the 70's & 80's. But most of my iPod is filled with the sermons and podcasts from exceptional teachers like Mark Driscoll and Resurgence Audio.
The Inside Scoop: I like to cook. I am not a morning person (does 5 o'clock really come twice a day?). I have gone cliff diving - what a rush! I drink coffee only for the taste, really. I enjoy grocery shopping with my wife.
